Shrimp Coconut Fry

Shrimp and Coconut in a single dish is ecstasy, this recipe is exactly that. Shrimps are cooked all over the world using different techniques and ingredients. While a lot of cultures believe shrimps should be eaten semi cooked so that you get to taste the real flavor of shrimps, some use a lot of spices in Shrimp to bring out a special taste from it. A lot of Indian Shrimp dishes uses coconut as its base, coconut simply enhances the taste of Shrimps.
This is a simple recipe, very easy to prepare and is a stunner when it comes to taste. I have used Coconut with shrimp and a few simple spice powders in it. Give it a shot and let me know how you like it.

Cuisine – Indian

Prep Time – 5 Mins.
Cook Time – 23 Mins.

Ingredients :
Some oil
½ Onions chopped small
1 Tablespoon of Ginger Garlic Paste
1 Green Chili sliced into half.
1 Teaspoon of Chili powder
1 Teaspoon of Turmeric powder
1 Teaspoon of Coriander powder
15-20 Raw Shrimps.
½ Cup of Grated or Powder Coconut
½ Teaspoon of dry Mango powder
Freshly chopped Parsely or Cilantro.
Some Garam masala or Curry powder (Optional)

RECIPE:


1. Take a pan and spray some oil in it, bring the oil to heat.
2. Add the onions in the pan and sauté them for 3 minutes.
3. Add the ginger garlic paste in the pan and continue sautéing, cook for 6 more minutes. By now the onions will become golden brownish in color.
4. Add a Green chili, Chili powder, Turmeric powder, Coriander powder and sauté for 3 more minutes.
5. Now add the shrimps in the pan and start cooking them in medium flame, sauté them for 3 minutes.
6. Add the coconut in the pan, mix and cook for 7minutes. Stir occasionally.
7. Add the dry mango powder and parsley/cilantro, mix them together.
8. Sprinkle some garam masala on the top (Optional) , close the lid and turn off the stove.

The dish is ready, serve it hot and enjoy.
